Did you know that Huggg is a family business?
It’s true. CEO, Paul Wickers asked his sister-in-law Alice Cox to be his co-founder in 2015 when he set up Huggg. And he’s never looked back.
It’s true. CEO, Paul Wickers asked his sister-in-law Alice Cox to be his co-founder in 2015 when he set up Huggg. And he’s never looked back.
“I needed someone who could immediately make that leap.” Wickers recalls, likening the emotions of running a new business to a line graph of extreme peaks and troughs. “You need a co-founder to ride those emotional waves with. It needed to be someone I could trust, from my close circle of friends and family.”
The interview finishes with the realisation that “We couldn’t have got through the first 12 months without Alice. We exist because of her.” So thanks 🙏 Alice for being such a rockstar 👩🎤 from the very start. Seeing your in-laws more than your own wife/ husband may be ‘a little strange’ but it works for Huggg!
