WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

huggg makes your product digitally 'shoppable' and drives footfall into your sites. You'll be involved with some exciting new tech, a feel good movement and become part of a network of high quality outlets - what's not to love?

Plus, there's so much more to huggg than meets the eye, and what you see now is just the tip of the iceberg.

 

ARE THERE ANY SET UP FEES?

We incur some costs at the start and pass those on as a set-up fee to each of our brands and independents. However, we do waive that fee when you're nominated by a user of ours, or if we think you're really great. It's our way of filtering for the highest quality. 

 

ISN'T IT JUST A GIFT VOUCHER? BECAUSE WE DO THOSE ALREADY.

No, and deliberately so.

huggg achieves something that looks and feels very different, and has a very different delivery mechanism to a gift voucher. We cut out the monetary value as much as possible, enabling someone to buy a product instead of giving cash, turning relatively inexpensive products into something that carries huge impact. 

There's actually some very important behavioural psychology at play here, and we obsess over it.

 

WOAH! I run an independent but YOU ALSO STOCK BRANDED CHAINS. WE CAN'T HAVE THAT.

Some people love their independents and some love to shop a brand. Most do both, so we give our users the choice.

One thing we do filter for, though, is quality - and we won't stock everybody. Much like a popular street full of thriving activity being a much better trading site than an empty one with no competition, you're all stronger for each other.

WILL MY STAFF NEED TRAINING?

They'll need to be shown how to process a huggg (transaction), but it's real easy. It involves a few clicks here and there and won't take longer than a usual payment - we don't wanna hold up that queue! 

The main thing your servers or baristas need to do is smile and make the customer feel welcome. After all, they're yours to win over - and you only get one shot to make a first impression!

 

WHO SETS THE PRICE?

We set the price and you decide what you can offer for that price. For coffee shops, for example, we like our vendors to include their entire hot drinks menu within a 'hot drink huggg' because that's delightful for our users.

We charge an extra 50p to the sender to cover pesky bank fees, which enables us to charge the vendor very little (something we'll be able to reduce and eradicate that part over time).

 

DO hugggs TIE IN WITH OUR LOYALTY SCHEMES?

That's entirely up to you. If someone redeems a huggg and you'd like to stamp their card or ping their app, then go for it!

Who are we to stop you?

 

IS HUGGG AVAILABLE ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS?

huggg is available on both Apple and Android. This means that most smartphone users can download and use huggg. 

Apple users will require iOS 9 or newer and Android users 5.0 or newer. It's also now available in iMessage, which is our superstar product.

 

ARE A customer's PERSONAL DETAILS AND MESSAGES SECURE?

Personal information, payment details and messages sent via the app are encrypted, always. We also don't have sight of the contacts stored on our users' phones - they live load each time. 

Where a message is sent outside of our app and has the huggg attached, the encryption level on the message then depends on the messaging platform used (we can’t control this, sorry!).
